About Us

The trusted, neutral reference for the peptide market - and a path to licensed care.

The peptide category is one of the fastest-growing areas in health and wellness – and one of the most confusing. The same questions surface over and over: what is legal, what is prescription-only, what is sold for research use only, where a product actually comes from, how to tell a reputable supplier from a dangerous one, and what the published evidence actually says. The answers online are fragmented, contradictory, and too often written by people with something to sell.

MD PEP exists to change that. We are building the neutral trust layer of the peptide market – the place patients, researchers, and medical providers can go to make sense of the noise, grounded entirely in primary sources and free of any commercial stake in what someone reads. And for those who decide they want supervised treatment, we are building a path from that information into licensed, accountable care.

Consider the role Wirecutter plays for consumer products, Examine for supplements, or Drugs.com for medications. Every large, high-stakes, confusing market eventually produces one reference that everyone defers to – a neutral layer that sits above the sellers. The peptide market does not have one yet. We are building it.

100%
Primary-Sourced

Neutral and Independent

No vendor owns us and we run no paid advertising, so the guidance stays honest.

Grounded in Primary Sources

Every dosing, safety, and regulatory claim is tied to a named primary source.

A Path to Licensed Care

Neutral education that leads to supervised treatment, with every medical decision left to a licensed clinician.

What we do

MD PEP documents, compares, and clarifies. For every peptide in the market – from the widely discussed GLP-1 compounds to the most obscure bioregulators – we maintain a reference covering its chemistry, mechanism, the state of the published evidence, regulatory status, how it is described in the literature, sourcing, and pricing. We explain how to read a Certificate of Analysis, how to evaluate a vendor, and how the regulatory landscape is shifting through the milestones that few consumers or providers fully track.

We serve three audiences with very different needs:

  • Patients and consumers who want to understand what is legal and safe, what it costs, how to avoid scams, and how to reach legitimate, supervised care.
  • Researchers and informed buyers who need to verify quality, compare vendors, read a COA, and understand what the documented protocols actually report.
  • Medical providers who want to understand the compliance landscape and how to source responsibly for their practice.

Education, then supervised care

Reading is where most questions start, but some of them can only be answered by a clinician who knows the individual asking. For readers who decide they want supervised treatment, MD PEP is building its own licensed telehealth service – so that the move from understanding to care happens without being handed off to a stranger, a marketplace, or a vendor with a product to push.

The way it works keeps a deliberate separation of roles:

  • The MD PEP information platform documents and educates. It never prescribes and never dispenses.
  • Licensed clinicians, exercising their own independent medical judgment, evaluate each patient’s history, goals, and circumstances and decide whether any treatment is appropriate. Only a clinician writes a prescription – and only when it is the right call for that specific person.
  • Licensed compounding pharmacies prepare and ship any medication. Where a peptide is a patient-specific 503A compounded prescription, it is filled by a licensed pharmacy against that individual prescription, never sold as off-the-shelf stock.

We built it this way on purpose. The reader moves from neutral education into supervised, accountable care under one trusted roof, while every medical decision stays with a licensed professional who has evaluated them individually. The safest version of this model and the most trustworthy version are the same version.

Where we hold the line

Our independence is the entire point, so a few lines never move.

Our editorial content documents what the literature reports; it does not instruct anyone to take or administer any substance, and it never prescribes. Whether any peptide is appropriate is a decision for a licensed clinician, not a web page.

We keep the information platform structurally separate from the clinical and pharmacy layers. The side of MD PEP that educates you is not the side that profits from any single product, and it reads that way because it is true.

We do not accept payment for favorable coverage. No commercial relationship buys a better review, and a vendor that fails our standard is not linked at any price. Where we earn an affiliate fee, we disclose it plainly, right where the link appears.

We do not run paid advertising. Our standing in this category is earned by being the most complete and most credible source available – not bought.

How we earn trust

Because we answer to no outside vendor and rely on no paid advertising, our credibility rests on editorial discipline and nothing else:

  • Primary sources, always. Every dosing range, efficacy statement, safety note, and regulatory claim is attributed to a named primary source – a peer-reviewed study, an FDA label or filing, a clinical-trial registration, or an official monograph.
  • Named authors and transparent credentials. Every article carries a named author with a published bio and disclosed conflicts of interest.
  • Dated and reviewed. Every page shows when it was published and last reviewed, so readers always know how current it is.
  • A public corrections policy. When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open and log the change.
  • Full disclosure. Every commercial relationship – including our own clinical service – is disclosed, and our editorial and funding policies are published for anyone to read.

Trust is not a feature of MD PEP. It is the whole business. The day our readers stop trusting us, we have nothing – which is exactly why our editorial standards, our incentives, and the way we have structured care are all built to point in the same direction.

MD PEP (mdpep.com) publishes general educational and informational content about peptides, synthesized from published research, regulatory filings, and clinical literature. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. The peptides documented on this site include compounds that are FDA-approved for specific indications, compounds available only by prescription, compounds available only through licensed compounding pharmacies, and compounds sold by third parties for research use only and not approved for human consumption. The MD PEP information platform does not sell, dispense, prescribe, or fulfill any peptide product. Any prescription is written only by a licensed clinician who has independently evaluated the patient, and any medication is compounded and dispensed only by a licensed pharmacy. No one should begin, modify, or discontinue any treatment or substance based on information found here. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional who can evaluate individual circumstances.
